ESCALA CONNERS PARA PADRES PDF

Zinc has a potential role as an adjuvant therapy for ADHD. The objective was to evaluate the effect of Zn supplementation on behavior, as a complementary therapy to metylphenidate, in pediatrics patients with ADHD. They were randomized to receive methylphenidate 0. A blood sample was drawn at time 0 and 6 weeks, for plasma Zn analysis. We conclude that a decrease in plasma Zn levels in both groups was found, greater in the placebo group. An apparent improvement in ADHD signs in children was observed with the Zn supplementation, according to the Conners global index by teachers.

Reports regarding behavior in children and adolescents in school age are useful to detect risk groups in educational as well as clinical environments. This study explores the principal factors of the Child and Adolescent Behavior Questionnaire, an instrument previously designed to assess healthy children and adolescents through teacher reports in Cuba.

A non-probabilistic sample of 6, children and adolescents from Centro Habana municipality was assessed: 4, According to an iterated principal factor analysis with varimax-normalized rotation, three factors explained Possible relations between these results, psychological development, neuromaturation, and education are discussed.

En cambio, el enfoque dimensional asume una estrategia de abajo-arriba. En realidad, los dos enfoques pueden representar momentos complementarios del proceso de conocimiento. Ambos comparten problemas no resueltos.

Usually, these reports are obtained from questionnaires designed according to the categorical or dimensional approach.

The socio-cultural bias is related to the ecological validity debate for human behavior assessment tools. At the data analysis level, several problems have been found; for instance, teachers are better informants than parents and children about attention and hyperactivity problems.

Getting large amounts of data could balance this error. Taking into account this methodological situation and that available questionnaires have not been designed for Latin American or Cuban population, this study explores, in a very large sample, the principal factors of the Child and Adolescent Behavior Questionnaire CCIA for its abbreviation in Spanish. This instrument has been previously designed to assess healthy children and adolescents through teacher reports in Cuba.

All children, parents, and teachers gave their informed consent orally. Scores from 26 items should be reverted to counteract the acquiescence effect. Participants were assessed by their teachers, who were Every teacher reported on 20 or less children or adolescents.

Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were done, p. Arithmetic means and standard deviations of item scores and total score are reasonable. The second factor explains The third factor accounts for 8. These items describe social interactions with peers, in unspecified situations items 1, 12, and 13 or play items 17, 18, and The first principal factor is labeled Behavioral Control.

Its items can be understood as immature and socially inadequate expressions of high-level mental operations gathered by neuropsychology in the executive function concept. Behavioral Control is essential for child development, school learning, and has prognostic value for adult life. The second principal factor is called School Cognitive Performance.

It is formed by items of attention and performance in school tasks. The school tasks demand cognitive efforts for which students recruit different attentional processes. Success facing theses attentional demands affects the learning outcomes.

The third factor is named Socialization. Meanwhile, ludic behaviors are indispensable for healthy child development. As a final point, this study presents several limitations. Sex and level of schooling effects on the three principal factors could be examined. A confirmatory factor analysis would ratify the factor structure found.

This confirmatory analysis could be done with data from the large sample already assessed. These data will also allow determining norms for children and adolescents evaluation. The CCIA continuous validation will require using it in tandem with well-established assessment scales. The study of correlations between the CCIA and neurocognitive performance tests will be relevant. Finally, the CCIA sensitivity to discriminate healthy children and adolescents from other sick people would be stated if its psychometric properties in clinical samples with pediatric and neuropsychological diagnoses were researched.
